Abstract:

Ridgelet transform is especially suitable for describing the higher dimensional signals, which have linear or super-plane singularities. In this paper  , we first introduce the Ridgelet theory, and then propose a new image compression method FRIT＋DWT, which is based on orthonormal Finite Ridgelet Trans  sform （FRIT）. Experiments show that FRIT＋ DWT achieves a higher compression ratio and better compression effect than traditional Wavelet methods.
