摘要：
在GIS工程建设和软件开发中，所基于的GIS开发平台（如ArcInfo、MapInfo等）提供的符号往往不能满足不同用户的需要。因此，开发过程必然涉及到矢量符号设计和标绘的 问题。本文对面向对象的矢量符号设计方法进行了探讨，并重点对矢量符号在GIS组件的标绘中所涉及的技术方法进行了论述。

Abstract:
During GIS＇s project construction and software development,the symbols provided by GIS platform which is based on usually cannot satisfy different users＇ demands. Therefore it is inevitable to lead to the problem of designing and marking vector symbols. This paper describes an object-oriented approa ach to designing vector symbols, and mainly discusses the technical methods for symbol marking in GIS components.
