Abstract:

A multiple fingerprint recognition system includes the multiple impression system and the multiple finger system. This paper gives a comparison betwee n the mulu-sample and multi-instance fingerprint systems using different information fusion methods which include sum, rain, product, vote and max. The  experimental results show that the multi-sample fingerprint system usually shows better performance than the multi-instance fingerprint system. The mult   i-sample system gains better performance with the min rule while the multi-instance system gains with the sum rule. All these results are useful to desi  gning a multiple fingerprint recognition system
