Abstract:

In this paper, the algorithms of Locality Preserving Project （LPP） and Discriminant Locality Preserving Project （DLPP） are explicitly introduced. Several contrast experiments based on LPP and DLPP are designed and performed to evaluate their effectiveness in palmprint recognition. The experimental data supports the method of using these two algorithms in palmprint recognition, and also shows DLPP is superior to LPP in recognition performance.
