TCP吞吐率模型及其应用范例

摘要:

在因特网中,TCP协议是使用最多的传输控制协议,包括FTP、WWW和SMTP在内的大量应用都使用TCP作为底层传输协议。对TCP建模具有很重要的意义,可以让我们更加深入地了解TCP的性能;同时,TCP模型还具有其它一些重要的应用,比如TCP友好的拥塞控制、主动队列管理算法参数设置等。本文列举了几个应用TCP吞吐率模型的典型范例,通过这些应用可以看出,TCP模型是一个用于拥塞控制系统分析和设计的有力工具。

Abstract:

A significant amount of today' s Interact traffic, including WWW (HTTP), file transfer (FTP), and ernail (SMTP) traffic, is carried out by the TCP transport protocol Analytically characterizing the throughput of TCP's congestion control mechanism is a very important research effort for examiniing the performance of the various aspects of TCP. At the same time, the TCP throughput model has several important applications such as the y rate control and the AQM parameter setting. The paper summarizes two TCP models and their applications. Through these applications, it is clear that t he TCP model is a very useful tool for designing and analyzing congestion control systems.
