Abstract:

With the development of computer science and network applications, the need of managing personal files with network becomes greater and greater. This  paper introduces the design characteristics of network file management systems in common. And a distributed personal network file management system using the J2EE technology is presented. Powerful functions are implemented in this system, such as file retrieval and classification, multiple file/folder uploading with no third-party components based on the Web, dispatching and managing files flexibly. Compared with other network file man- agement systems    , this system is better in many aspects. And good performance is shown in practical applications.
