Abstract:

This paper studies a real-time stereo video monitoring technology which is based on DirectShow, and a realtime stereo video monitoring system with the  technology is developed. The system is composed of a service end and a client end. The service end captures video data from two cameras with the Microsoft DirectShow filter technology, and then send it to the client end through the Internet. This paper also introduces the principle of stereo display, a nd explains how the stereo video of the service is redisplayed on the client end.
