Abstract:

This paper gives a new insight for data processing in wireless sensor networks in terms of tradeoff between infinite data streams and limited node res ources. First, we discuss the necessity for building the wireless sensor network database supporting all kinds of applications. Second, the difference c ompared with traditional databases and some implementation keys of the ＂special＂ database are presented. Finally, we analyze the corresponding archite  ecture, e.g. the functional compositions on the database front-end,and inside the network nodes, and the techniques to complete required query with the  collaboration between nodes.
