Abstract:

This paper introduces the improvment of the real-time ability of the Linux 2. 4 kernel. Three algorithms such as the weakly hard real-time scheduling  algorithm, the time-stealing scheduling algorithm and the feedback algorithm are reallzed in the Linux kernel. Experiments show that the new Linux system is proved more efficient while processing network and multimedia data.
