Abstract:

Object deputy model can be used as a common data model for information integration. Through establishing the source objects and deputy objects, the co rresponding relations about query handling can be implemented better. According to the object deputy model, application translates the query disposal ofthe deputy objects into the query disposal of the local database sources, and it also returns query results from the local database sources by the user  ＇s application requirements. The object deputy model can be implemented in the Smalltalk environment. In this paper, we discuss how to realize the data  a integration of heterogeneous data sources based on the object deputy model in a Smalltalk environment.
