Abstract:

A novel and united framework that comprehensively considers categorizing and computing geographic locations for Web resources is proposed. According t o a comprehensive investigation into various geographic information needs, we first explicitly categorize Web locations into three types such as Provider Location, Content Location and Serving Location. And then we develop the respective algorithms to compute the three categories of locations based on t he specific characteristics of each type. Finally, experimental results on large real Web data sets demonstrate that our proposed framework significantly outperforms the previous approaches.
