Abstract:

The resource discovery mechanism is a hot topic in the grid field at present. This paper analyses the existing resource discovery methods,and points out their insufficiency. Focusing on the shortages, a grid resource discovery mechanism based on the MLON structure is proposed,in which the grid informa tion nodes with the same type are organized into regions, and the regions which have lots of nodes are formed hierarchically by the type granularity. The resource discovery requests are transmited to the region where the resources have been via the style matching routing source searching technique,then  the top k resources which suit to the requests are located by the Topk source searching technique. Accordingly, the efficiency of resource discovery is   meliorated,and the degree of users＇satisfaction is improved.
