一种有效的DCT域下采样视频解码算法

摘要:

为了提高多媒体处理能力有限的终端上的视频播放能力,本文提出了一种有效的DCT域下采样视频解码算法。利用DCT变换的称卷积特性和能量集中特性对压缩视频进行下采样反DCT,并在下采样运动矢量近似和插值处理之后,通过下采样运动补偿重建下采样的视频图像。算法的下采样反DCT、像素插值和图像重建的运算复杂度分别比常规解码减少少了50%、50%和75%,使得整体解码效率有60%左右的提高。算法在基于XScale的嵌入式终端平台上进行了实现和测试,效果良好。

Abstract:

To improve the video decoding ability on the multimedia processing capability limited terminals, an effective algorithm is proposed to implement the DCT-domain downsampling video decoding. The algorithm performs downsampling inverse DCT by taking advantage of the symmetric convolution and centered-ene  rgy properties of DCT, and exploits the downsampling motion compensation with proper motion vector approximation, interpolation and reconstruction. The  computation complexity analysis shows that the downsampling inverse DCT, the pixel interpolation and the image reconstruction saves about 50%, 50% and 7  5% computing operations respectively compared to the regular ways, thus improves the overall decoding efficiency by about 60%. The algorithm has been implemented and tested on the XSeale embedded platform and has achieved good performance.
