Abstract:

Proxy cache for the Internet is one of the main and effective techniques to alleviate slow access speed, server overloading and network congestion. In  this paper, the key proxy caching techniques such as consistency policy, replacement policy, architecture, selecting and prefetching cache’s contents  are discussed for developing an efficient, scalable, robust, adaptive and stable proxy caching scheme.
