一种有效的匹配准则及块匹配算法

摘要:

运动估计和补偿预测编码是视频编码标准中的一项关键技术,其核心问题在于块匹配的准确性。因此,寻找一种合理有效的块匹配准则是很必要的。传统的匹配准则是SAD,但该 准则不能完全保证在满足SAD最小的情况下获得较低的编码比特率。因此,本文提出了一种改进的SAD匹配准则,提高了匹配的精确性和准确性,更加能够表示块的相似程度,并给 给出了基于准则的块匹配算法。结合H.264/AVC视频编码标准的参考软件jm10.1,本文对运动估计部分采用了新的匹配准则,并进行了仿真测试。实验结果表明,在视频预测编码 中,本文提出的块匹配准则可以更好地保证视频质量,提高压缩编码性能,而编码复杂性增加相对不大。

Abstract:

Motion estimation and motion compensation are included as major technologies into the existing video coding standards,in which key problems are focused on the veracity for block matching.So it is necessary to find a more reasonable block-matching criterion.As SAD is selected as the traditional block-m  atching criterion,it can not represent the actual differences between two blocks because of the features of them and sometimes as if two blocks had a lavalue of SAD,and they would be encoded with more similar bits.This paper proposes a new matching criterion based on SAD,which improves the precisio n and accuracy for matching,and presents the block matching algorithm based on the proposed criterion.Experimental results based on the H.264/AVC reference software of JM10.1 show that the proposed block-matching criterion and the corresponding algorithm can get a better video compression performance and improve the coding efficiency while maintaining the negligible increase of coding complexity.
