Abstract:

The paper presents some related knowledge on ontology and three kinds of computing models based on domain ontology. Aimed at the advantages and disadv antages of these models, as well as the characteristics of domain ontology, we put forward an improved domain-ontology-based semantic similarity computing model, which makes the information content and attribute of concept as two decision factors based on the distance-based computing model. It is proved  that this model can reflect the semantic relationships among the concepts more precisely, and provide an effective quantification for them.
