Abstract:

An introduction in the field of modeling and analysis of swarm behaviors is provided with a focus on the various methods that have been put forward by researchers. The work which has been done in the field is reviewed. The various methods are described and compared. Something that is missing in the cu rrent research and the factors that must be considered in designing an engineering swarm system are pointed out. At last, the directions of further rese  arch are proposed.
