Abstract:

In this paper, an idea of using PSL（Process Specification Language）to build a model of software process based on the investigation of CMM is propose d. The model of software process is called SPRM（Software Process Representation Model） ,which follows the CMM3 requirements to process definitions andd uses XML Schema as its unified specified language. SPRM ensures the unification and extension of software process and is propitious to implement mutua  l operations of software processes and share process resources,and it lays the foundation of implementing unified software process management. Finally,a process instance of the simple review process is implemented,which explains how to define different processes using SPRM.
