Abstract:

Generally, before a data item is updated in the database,some other data items are read or written; and after the update other data items may also be written. A method for database intrusion detection by using data dependency relationships is proposed in this paper. A data dependency miner is designed  for mining data dependency among the transactions at the user task level from the database log. If the transactions in the user task are not compliant    to the data dependencies,there are anomaly activities in the user task.
