Abstract:

We suppose a two-layer reliability model, which contains the reliable P/S protocol layer （RPSL） and the reliable stream transfer layer （RSTL）. RPSL is aware of the format of P/S messages, and provides several reliability levels, which are the best-effort transfer, the event-loss detection and reco very, and the ack-transfer. RSTL is not concerned with the format of RPSL messages, which guarantees that events can be reliably forwarded through the m  echanisms of adaptation to link rates and break-and-renewal.
