Abstract:

This paper proposes a mechanism for updating application programs in the nodes in a CAN bus system,which solves the inconvenience problem in updating   the application programs in the CAN nodes. Advantages of the integrated function blocks of LPC2119 are taken,and the In-Application Programming （IAP）  technology is used to design and implement the online update mechanism. The mechanism has high reliability and excellent expansibility. It is easy-to-use and easy-tomaintain, and can also be used in the design of the on-line update mechanisms in other embedded systems.
