Abstract:

In this paper, the Age Dynamic Model （ADM） is discussed to deal with the problem of adaptive population size in evolutionary algorithms. A new evolu tionary algorithm with an adaptive population size is proposed according to a simplified model of ADM. The experimental results show that the new algori   thm has better performance than traditional evolutionary algorithms.
