Abstract:

The performances of the two most popular distributed object models named RMI and CORBA are studied. The following aspects are analyzed for the C/S app lications： the response time for method invocation with and without parameters, the response time for applet clients, and the response time for variabl    le number of clients requesting the same service, which provides a reference for the development of web-based distributed real-time applications.
