Abstract:

In this paper, the features of XML schemata are studied, and several algorithms and their problems on the transformation from the XML schemata to the   relational schemata are analyzed. Then the algorithm XTR is presented, and the method to preserve semantic constraints is discussed. The results of the   algorithm XTR are better than those of the algorithms analyzed according to the normal form, and the many-to-many relation can be translated in the algo  rithm XTR.
