Abstract:

Aiming at the problems of medical data digitization, such as multifarious kinds and formats, various data structures, heterogeneity in legacy applicat ions and so on,＂Virtual Service＂ is applied in designing and implying electronic patient records, and a prototype system named VEPRS is proposed in the paper. VEPRS is built around medical applications, and it can implicitly achieve data integration and information sharing but does not affect applica tions. Result shows that VEPRS can increase the liquidity and availability of medical data, and improve the development of digital hospital effectively.
