Abstract:
Based on the theory of the Zone of Proximal Development(ZPD) and aiming at fostering students’ scientific inquiry ability, we analyze the design, organization and implement of teaching activities from the perspective of setting questions, creating situations as well as discussion and communication. Firstly, we define the ZPD theory. We then analyze the principles of setting teaching objectives based on the theory. At last, as a teaching method which emphasizes students’ autonomous scientific exploration, we investigate how to effectively design and organize teaching activities.
