Publishing ethics

  •                                                                                   Ethics Statement

    ·         “Computer Engineering & Science” follows the recognized publication ethics. The authors, reviewers and editors of this journal shall perform the following duties and at the same time comply with other relevant regulations and requirements of the journal.

    ·       

    Duties of Authors

    This journal firmly opposes any form of plagiarism. Authors who contribute to this journal must confirm the originality and legitimacy of the content of the manuscript, and at the same time should ensure that the article is not completely or partially published in any language in other journals.

    1. The author should provide an objective statement on the accurate description and importance of the original research, and should meet the relevant requirements in the "Instructions for Contributions" of this journal.

    2. Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journals at the same time, nor should they publish manuscripts with the same research content in multiple journals.

    3. Authors should confirm all sources of data used in their research and make appropriate citations to the research work of others.

    4. Authors should be limited to those who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, implementation or interpretation of the manuscript, and those who have made significant contributions must be listed as co-authors. Corresponding authors should confirm that the signature is not disputed, the paper has no copyright or other intellectual property issues, and all co-authors have approved the final version of the submitted manuscript.

    5. The author must confirm that the paper has passed the confidentiality review of the affiliated unit and there is no problem of leakage.

    6. If the author finds an obvious error in the submitted or published paper, he should notify the editorial department to withdraw or correct it in time.


    Duties of Reviewers

    1. Manuscript reviewers must confirm the source of the data used in the study. If plagiarism or multiple submissions are found, the editor should be notified immediately.

    2. Manuscript reviewers must be objective and fair in the review of the manuscript. During the review, the manuscript must not be rejected or accepted due to conflicts of interest such as competition, collaboration, etc., and reviewers should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.

    3. Reviewer should have no conflicts of interest with the study, the author, and/or the research funders.

    4. Reviewers should point out relevant published work that is not yet cited.

    5. The manuscript under review is a confidential document. Without the consent of the editors and the authors, reviewers cannot disclose the content of the manuscript or discuss the manuscript with others; reviewers must keep the information obtained in the review process confidential and cannot use the information privately.

    6. When a reviewer feel that it is impossible to complete the review of the manuscript within the specified time, the editor must be notified so that the manuscript can be sent to another reviewer.


    Duties of Editors

    1. Based on the review comments of reviewers and the review report of the editorial board, the editors can accept, reject or request to modify the manuscript.

    2. Editors must ensure that the originality of each manuscript is initially evaluated with appropriate testing software. After this test, the manuscript will be forwarded to two reviewers for single-blind peer review, each of whom will make a specific recommendation to accept, reject or modify the manuscript.

    3. Editors evaluate the manuscript based on its importance, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal, regardless of the author's gender, race, religion, and nationality.

    4. Except for corresponding authors, reviewers, and publishers, editors are not allowed to disclose any information about the manuscript to others; without the written permission of the authors, editors cannot use the content of an unpublished manuscript submitted by other authors in his own research .
