Abstract:
An edge detection algorithm using improved morphologic operators with multiscale and multistructuring elements is presented in this paper. The competence of antinoise can be improved by the improved morphologic operator when using it to detect image edges. And the use of the idea of multiscale and multistructuring elements can detect more information of edge direction while having better competence of antinoise. The results of experiments show that the algorithm has better competence of antinoise and retains more edge details while detecting more information of edge direction, thus has better applicability.
