Abstract:

Computer hardware is the foundation of the computer system. For the students of software engineering major, having some knowledge about the hardware is necessary for the development or management of software. However, the requirement of software engineering is different from that of computer science. Therefore, we investigate the requirement for the content of hardware courses in the software engineering field. We hope the result is helpful for the course offering and the content organization of the courses.
