Abstract:

Digital Home is a new concept of the home electronic consumer field. It is defined as an interlinked and interoperable network system of home electronic products. On this basis, how to share multimedia and entertainment resources becomes one of technical research hotspots recently. STB, as Home Media Entertainment Center, not only have the traditional functions such as TV、VOD and Web browser, but also need to support Home Media Sharing. In order to master the Home Media Sharing technology and provide technical support for product development, we study and analyze its system structure、protocol suite and working principle，Based upon the system research of Home Media Sharing, we propose the fundamental architecture and components of STB as media server and media player, describe the function of every component, and introduce the application method and flow of SDK.
