Research on modeling and morphing firework and
other scenery images based on variant IFS fractal

Abstract:

Fractal appears in most of the graphics system, and widely used for image modeling and rendering. However, the existing single IFS method always fails in modeling complex scenery image. In this paper, we proposed a new fractal method, named TIFS (Texture based IFS), to model a sort of local similarity scenery image. IFS and texture indicate scenery's structure and details respectively. TIFS model is extracted from a scenery image result in a continuous sequence of similar images, and then it is morphed. Because the IFS attractors' size and moving direction is well controlled through the whole morphing procedure, the morphing of scenery image with TIFS method has continuous and reality effect.
