Abstract:
We analyze the main fault types and their causes of the landing gear retraction/extension system of a typical regional aircraft, establish a model of this system on the AMESim simulation platform and simulate the normal retractionextension process. The variation processes of the displacement of an actuator movement, the pressure and flow rate of the pump output are provided, and the simulation results are analyzed. The simulation results show that the system can meet the basic performance indexes of the landing gear system. The fault modes of the hydraulic pump leakage, the internalleakage of the actuator, the clogging of oil filter and throttle etc. are studied, which have significant effect on system performance. The impact of varying performance parameters of different components on system performance is simulated and analyzed. These investigations are beneficial and valuable for solving fault diagnosis and health monitoring problems of the landing gear retraction/extension system in engineering practice.
