Abstract:

As a valid preventive method of network traffic, connection admission control（CAC） is an important technology of network congestion avoidance and Qo S guarantee. Multi-protocol label switching（MPLS） is the only QoS technology of broad bandwidth supported by the organizations of ITU-T and IETF, ther refore it is very important to study the technology of MPLS CAC. The paper summarizes the CAC technologies prompted at present, and studies how they are used in the MPLS network, and predicts the main development direction and the active research areas of MPLS CAC
