Abstract:

The article discusses many features of SVG, and explores how to organize and encode spatial data based on SVG. We design a SVG-based WebC-IS architecture based on the designed data organization and encoding scheme, and implements a prototype system based on the architecture. The prototype system can r ealize the SVG-based vector spatial data display and publishing,and perform interactions on the clients' side.
