Abstract:

The difficulties of semantic processing and the usage of bio-ontologies in bio-information integration are analyzed, and then several selected ontolog y-based applications of bio-information integration are investigated. For every application, the representation, characteristics, application and storag e of the ontologies are considered. Finally a comparison is given and the future development is discussed.
