Abstract:

How to reduce the booting time of the embedded Linux is one ot the key technologies of Embedded Linux, and particularly it is very useful and necessar y for embedded Linux to be used in consumer electronic products. This paper analyses the delay areas of Embedded Linux, and compares the characteristics of file systems which are suitable for Embedded Linux. According to the results, we design a file hierarchy which is suitable for consumer electronic L  inux and supports fast Looting. Meanwhile, we combine it with XIP(Execute In Place) to reduce the delay of hoot time further.
