Uncertain Van der Pol Chaos Synchronization Via a Fuzzy Controller

Abstract

In this paper the synchronization problem of the uncertain masterslave Van der Pol chaotic system is studied and the design of a rulebased controller is presented.Firstly,we directly make the masterslave Van der Pol chaos system satisfy stability in the Lyapunov sense.Secondly,we construct the fuzzy rules subject to a common Lyapunov function for the synchronization of the masterslave Van der Pol chaos system.Two couples of simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.But in order to further show the effectiveness of the method,under the same conditions,an approach of the synchronization of the uncertain masterslave Van der Pol chaotic system using feedback control is proposed,which compares the steadystate error and the time of synchronization with the proposed method.The results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
