A distributed spacetime coding scheme based on Interleaving Division Multiplexing (IDM) is investigated. The performance of an iterative receiver structure for the proposed scheme over a quasistatic channel is analyzed.The performance of the proposed scheme is evaluated via simulation, and its advantages are shown by comparison to other spacetime schemes in similar settings.This scheme is able to achieve high spectrum efficiency with a low complexity, and provides high flexibility on the number of cooperating nodes, while no strict synchronization is required among them. 
