Parallelization of Laser Energy Deposition Based on the RayTracing Algorithm

In order to simulate the energy deposition in the inertial confinement fusion driven by laser, a geometric optics approximation called the raytracing algorithm is used in general. Because of the requirements of largescale and efficient simulations, the parallelization of the raytracing algorithm is discussed. Raytracing computation is effectively dealt with by a grouppipeline strategy which can significantly improve the parallel performance with the existing decomposition of the domain.
