A MultiModality Fusion News Video Story Segmentation Algorithm

News story segmentation is an important underlying technology for news video retrieval. This paper presents a method for news video story segmentation, which fuses multimodal features including moderator template matching and topic caption frame detection. News video is segmented firstly based on moderator template matching. And then this news video is segmented based on topic caption frame detection.Finally,the method fuses two segmentation results and removes the repeated segmentation.It is shown by experiments that the algorithm can get better results.
