Abstract

In the shipbuilding process, the production capacity of each stage is not only constrained by the internal resources, but also by the shared resources. According to the relevant theory of Hierarchical Timed Colored Petrinet (HTCP net),Meta language is used to modeling the shipbuilding process ,followed by the simulation and analysis with the CPN tools. The results of the simulation predict the production capacity of the S company and indicate the utilization ratio of the main resources. After the bottleneck resources are identified by an analysis of the resource utilization ratio, some methods are proposed to debottleneck, which is eventually proved to be feasible by resimulation. The methodology in this paper can be a guide for the modeling, simulation and analysis of complicated shipbuilding processes.
