Abstract:

Hierarchical mobile IPv6 network adopts the mobile IPv6 protocol and its extension to manage the macro and micro mobility of mobile hosts. This management shortens the delay of binding update, and improves the handoff efficiency of mobile hosts, but some faults still exist. For instance, the macro mobility needs to orderly accomplish two binding updates with the mobility anchor point and the home agent , resulting in a long delay, affecting the efficiency of data transmission. New binding update can finish the two bindings simultaneously, and shorten the delay, improving the capability of network transmission. The mobility anchor point with memorized functions optimizes the binding update more, and eliminates the ＂triangle router＂ among the home agent, the mobility anchor point and the mobile host, improving the efficiency of the mobile IPv6 network.
