Abstract:

With the rapid development of information systems in critical applications, their disaster recovery capability becomes a focus, and heartbeat is one of the crucial techniques in building a disaster recovery system. This article studies an adaptive heartbeat algorithm based on the PULL mode, which uses the nodes and network~s status to output a quantitative value and performs comparisons between the quantitative output and the threshold value to decid e a disaster recovery system＇s serviceability, which can be used for detecting the system＇s dependability in the disaster recovery environment.
