Abstract:

The group key management which is efficient to perform the key updating is the foundation to guarantee the security and privacy of Mobile Ad Hoc Networks(MANET). Inspired by the hierarchical access control in the centralized environment, this paper proposes an integrated group key agreement scheme (IGK) to provide hierarchical access control in MANETs when members have accesses to multiple resources. Performance analyses on computation and communication overhead demonstrate that the integrated group key agreement is more efficient than the single group key agreement scheme.
