Implementation of Packet Scheduling in the Industrial Ethernet

Abstract:

In order to solve the question of the realtime data frame transmission delay after different distances in the industrial control network especially for the longdistance,a scheduling way is given,which the farther frame is preferred to send.In the paper,the relationship between distance and delay is analysed by a real network example.The distance diagonal matrix is proposed in the algorithm.The delay is controlled in a certain range,which increases the availability of realtime data.The frame structure needs not to be modified,which reduces the cost and complexity.It supports the existing network system well and the advanced network technology may be applied in the Industrial Ethernet.Finally the simulation is implemented with OPNET Modeler and the algorithm is verified.
