Abstract:

Guangzhou Supercomputing Center is equipped with the world’s leading supercomputer system—“Tianhe-2”, and how to make good use of this machine is going to be difficult and crucial for the development of Guangzhou Supercomputing Center. The paper focuses on the construction objectives of Guangzhou Supercomputing Center, analyzes the features of  the major industries in Guangzhou and the tremendous effect of high performance computing, proposes three operating modes and six ideas of application promotion, and preliminarily discusses the sustainable development direction of Guangzhou Supercomputing Center.
