Automatic evaluation evidence framework for open source software

Abstract:

There are large amounts of Open Source Software (OSS) projects in Internet. How to know whether the credible of an OSS project is satisfied is the hotspot research in software engineering. Based on existed software quality evaluation models, some kinds of information related to software quality are summarized and an evaluation evidence framework is proposed in this paper. The credible evidence query platform is constructed based the evidence framework. With the platform, the efficiency of OSS evaluation can be greatly improved and users are able to get many kinds of information about one software project accurately, quickly and completely. By taking the case of one famous OSS project, the feasibility of the evidence framework and query system is confirmed.
