An iterative linear setection algorithm based on
componentlevel soft interference cancellation

Abstract:

We propose an iterative detection and decoding (IDD) algorithm based on componentlevel soft cancellation (CLSC) and linear minimum meansquared error (LMMSE) filtering for turbo coded multiple input multiple output (MIMO) multiplexing systems in this work.By exploiting the independence between the inphase and quadraturephase branch,more accurate soft interference cancellation is realized.Extrinsic information transfer (EXIT) characteristics of the IDD system shows that the proposal has faster convergence speed than the conventional one.Numerical results further validate that the CLSCLMMSE algorithm achieves a noticeable bit error rate (BER) performance than symbollevel soft cancelation (SLSC) based LMMSE,and maintains its low complexity characteristic.
