A parallel computation method of wall distance
for largescale flow simulation

Abstract:

Based on MPI and Open MP, the recursive box method is parallelized. Then the preprocessing algorithm is improved. The scramjet combustor case, which has hundreds of millions of grids, is tested on the Tianhe2 system of National Supercomputing Center in Guangzhou. The results shows that the process box method and the boundary box method do not need to define the splitting box number, and the boundary box method has an excellent speedup, thus outstandingly enhancing the efficiency of the wall distance calculation.
