Influence and exploration of big data
on university teaching and research

Abstract:

In the big data environment, the teaching mode of higher education teachers, the enthusiasm of students, the needs of teachers and students’ scientific research practice are analyzed. The conclusion is that the teaching mode of teachers has changed from “teaching style” to “network red type”, the learning of students has become from passive to active, and the “new engineering” specialty relies heavily on data in scientific research practice. At the same time, two suggestions are also put forward. The first is that college teachers should intelligently adopts both online and offline teaching mode in the big data environment. The second is that the function of the “industry-university-research” cooperation platform should be optimized and the construction of data resources sharing library should be strengthened so as to adapt to the needs of the era of big data.
